The dogs are experts when it comes to female fashion.
When I put on clothes appropriate for dog walking, they get very excited. Today, however, even though they haven’t had a walk for a couple of days (my highly paid executive canine exerciser is on holiday in Japan), they evinced no interest when I put on my midnight blue ribcage highrise wide leg Levis, knowing there was no way I’d wear them for such pedestrian activities as perambulating around the botanical gardens the day after a storm. They’re cleverer than my husband in this regard.
(No disrespect intended to the lovely Simon).
