We’ve had glorious views of the moon the last couple of nights.
Of course, Tuesday was the rare Blood Moon total lunar eclipse, that was completely hidden behind a bank of clouds the entire evening. I think the whole family is now inured to rare celestial events taking place behind cloud cover here in Wellington. I’m still very grateful for my trip to Norway last year so that I could see the Aurora, otherwise I suspect I wouldn’t be nearly as sanguine.
The other rare event this week that I didn’t see live was the Black Caps pasting South Africa in the T20 World Cup semifinal. I could have got up in the middle of the night to watch it but I value my sleep too much. This picture of Finn Allen celebrating his incredible innings was enough for me.
