Just received an early morning text from the bank, and I’m feeling very judged.
Of course I sped onto my banking app (after my first coffee of the day and perusing the international news, I must confess… I didn’t notice it before then…) Yes, there were a number of transactions yesterday, but they were each of a paltry amount. Is it my fault that no single shop has everything I need? Tin snips from The Warehouse, cycling gloves at the bike shop, a discounted calendar, a couple of sandwiches, sunblock, a bottle of milk…honestly, if this was the work of a thief, they really deserve to be punished if just for their lack of imagination alone. I’m cheering myself up with the thought that the coup de grace was my family Duolingo subscription renewal which happened by chance on the same day. Not quite so humiliating now, I fancy?
