I think those poor staff on the ward were suffering from some sort of Stockholm syndrome.
Hospitals are terrible places, full of germs, mistakes, deconditioning, lack of sleep, and loss of agency. Hospitals are terrible places; unless you really need them.
I was very impressed with Glasgow. The central pedestrianized area was fabulous and thriving, as opposed to Aberdeen’s Union St which was depressed, and Edinburgh which was seedy and overrun with tourists.
