Completely misled by the one boot rating of six today for our loop walk to the abbey of Saint Martin du Canigou. Should the positive accumulated height gain (and descent) of 600m \u00a0have warned us? Maybe some knowledge of this tramping business could have been helpful in retrospect.<\/p>\n

The abbey itself, once we finally got to it, was very impressive, clinging to the mountain side. The priest\/monk\/penitent\/man in a brown dress who talked to us in the shop was very friendly and chatty after he spotted my Queenstown cap. We declined his offer to visit the abbey but we did buy a very nice tshirt and some lovely placemats.<\/p>\n
