In the midst of all the usual news stories about how the world is going down the toilet in many and various ways, I found an article in the Guardian last week on the demise of the skinny jean, and what\u2019s likely to come next.<\/p>\n
it was a pleasant distraction.<\/p>\n

One potential replacement is the return of the low rise. I\u2019m not particularly enthused by that, not because I fear the muffin top, but because of their tendency to keep drifting southwards, so that I found myself having to hook my fingers through the belt loops and hoicking them up every few minutes. Wearying.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, I\u2019m too old to deal with another flares rerun. I may have to stick with fat pants.<\/p>\n
