Armed with my new found knowledge that I\u2019m not introverted but rather racked by social anxiety, I decided to put myself forward when I saw the president of my medical college whilst out shopping this morning.
\nI introduced myself and we chatted amicably about the work dinner I missed last night, and then she asked me if I had travel plans. Since I was buying up large at Kathmandu, this was a natural question, so we segued onto overseas trips and COVID vaccinations, but all the while I was distracted. Was there something I\u2019d been going to say? It nagged at the back of my mind until she left, and then I remembered what it was. I\u2019d been going to explain that I was on my way to a yoga class which was why I was wearing tie dyed tights and no bra. Goddammit! And she was going straight to another college function, I can just imagine her mentioning the extraordinary old hippie lady she met that morning.
