An old friend sent me a photo yesterday from when we were children together. Here it is:<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve cut her out because she is my naturopath antivaxxer friend, and it would be awkward asking her permission and revealing I have a blog that she might then look at and get upset about if I may have mentioned her once or twice in the past, and not kindly. Nothing to do with the fact she looked more fabulous than me.<\/p>\n

In many ways I hit peak stylishness in this photo. My hair for one has never looked so good. And see how gracefully I\u2019m draped against that swing ball pole. Those gloves! It was the seventies so I\u2019m guessing we wore those glamorous draping clothes everywhere (Ed note: no we didn\u2019t). You can tell athleisure hadn\u2019t been invented, and it was also before the big hair and shoulder pads that were lurking just around the corner.<\/p>\n

Thinking \u00a0of the travesty that was my latest work ID photo, I wonder if I should consider having a fringe again…<\/p>\n
