The place is unnervingly quiet even though I know I\u2019m not alone. I can hear the odd muted conversation, and the tapping of fingers on keyboards. It\u2019s quite dispiriting. What\u2019s really worrying me is when I get back from overseas, and I want to start playing Christmas carols loudly and singing along, will that be frowned upon? Surely not.
