First of all, a disclaimer: I\u2019m currently on holiday in Fiji, so any complaints from me should be taken with a grain of (sea) salt.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Wednesday already, and we arrived on Friday, so I can\u2019t figure out why this is the first post I\u2019ve written. I used to diligently write every day when I was on holiday, \u00a0but I’ve got very slack. Yes, my days have been filled with swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and day trips, but I don\u2019t have any work to do, and I\u2019m no longer wasting any time on social media. Any spare time I have, I\u2019ve spent reading my yoga instructor\u2019s book, which is way better than it has any right to be. How come he had time to research and write a book whilst working as a lawyer and yoga teacher? It\u2019s quite depressing. Clearly I don\u2019t need social media to demonstrate my inadequacies in comparison to other people. On the other hand, the sister in law of a good friend died earlier this week after a long illness, and she was only my age. I remember her as a bridesmaid at her twin sister\u2019s wedding: she was the most glamorous woman I ever met, as well as being delightfully wicked. A reminder that life is a gift, not to be taken for granted. Don\u2019t sweat the small stuff, indeed.<\/p>\n
