Went to the show last night, it was a four man singing group called\u00a0The four Ds. <\/em>An unfortunate name if you ask me, but I suspect the octogenarians in the audience didn\u2019t notice. The band members are called Daniel, David, Derek, and Richard (their joke). They mostly did covers of the 60s equivalents of Boy Bands, with some show tunes thrown in. It was great.<\/p>\n We\u2019ve got quite friendly with the people sitting near us at dinner. Well, the other two couples have much more in common and chat away. We occasionally will contribute something. It\u2019s an improvement after the first few days when I was considering asking to be moved. The man Simon thinks is dementing used to work for Concorde. I\u2019m sure he retired before he began losing his faculties. A quiet day on the ship today. Had my second ever Zumba class, just as good as yesterday. The instructor Manuel revealed that he\u2019s from Portugal so I went up to him afterwards, amongst the crowds of adoring females, and said abrigada\u00a0<\/em>which made him laugh, hopefully in appreciation. After having time to cool down and have a shower, I went to another spy talk. This one was about Russian sleeper agents in the US. Amazing the detail you can get, and all available on the internet if you know where to look. Photos, names, pictures and videos of dead letter drops, secret meetings, handovers of money and documents, incredible. Tried to nap but feeling too well rested, so now Simon and I are in the Chart Room, another bar down on deck two. A whole new list of low alcohol cocktails to try, and once again the piano tinkling away in the background. \nAfter dinner we went back to the Commodore Club for cocktails and to read our books while a musician played Disney tunes on the piano and sang. Doesn\u2019t get better than that.<\/p>\n
\nI then went to another jewellery presentation which was once again just a big sales pitch. It was about the colour changing stone Zultanite that is mined in Turkey. They sell it for thousands of USD on the ship but if you buy it on board you can save 20%! Plus if you buy it after the presentation today we can give you an extra 10%! The thing is that I\u2019ve bought some before, both times I\u2019ve been in Turkey, and didn\u2019t pay more than a couple of hundred each time. Not tempted today.<\/p>\n
