Well, we have bitten the bullet and done it.<\/p>\n

Simon had an OK night and felt reasonable this morning, so after chatting with our general surgeon friend, we decided to join the cruise. He assured us that even if we bailed and fled to London, we\u2019d likely only continue with the supportive treatment he\u2019s already on.
\nSo, we checked out and drove down to Southampton airport, dropped off the car and then taxied to the cruise terminal. We\u2019d never got around to checking in online, but it didn\u2019t seem to matter. It only took around half an hour before we were on board and in our stateroom.
\nWe had a buffet lunch and found a workstation where a chef made a zero fat tomato pasta dish for Simon which was the most substantial meal he\u2019s had for days. I had a nap and then it was time to set sail. We sailed past the Queen Mary, a sister ship of the Queen Anne. It gives you an idea of how big we are. There\u2019s room for 3000 passengers.<\/p>\n
