Another celestial phenomena, another cloudy night.
Tonight was a lunar eclipse, full at the early hour of 7:30 pm, right when the clouds were thickest after a clear day. I got this picture later on when it was partially covered and no longer a red moon.

I’m not too gutted actually as I’ve seen lunar eclipses a few times in my life. The pain from missing the aurora last year has abated somewhat, in fact I’m bemused at how hard it hit me. It’s not a coincidence, though, that I’m considering dragging Simon along to a cruise of the Norwegian Fiords later this year. Autumn would be a good time to see the Northern lights up there. I wonder if I’ll spot any Norwegian Blues in their native habitat, pining or otherwise?
