My brother’s replacement dog (RIP Tui the border collie cross) is two kittens.
Their vet, obviously adept at spotting a soft hearted couple, messaged them first a couple of weeks ago about a six week old kitten found in a gutter. His name is Monty.
This was followed by another email by the same vet to say a litter of kittens had been found on a farm in Timaru, and would they be interested in making it a matching set? So, here is Maisie.
She looked familiar to me, and I finally figured out why.
Possibly a sign of too much time spent on social media back in the noughts.
Apparently there is a rule that there should never be more cats than laps in a household, so it seems their family is complete. Personally I’d still consider it safer to block that particular vet. I hope at least they are offering some sort of discount on vet bills.
