Am in a local restaurant, it’s 7:45 pm on a Tuesday night and it’s empty.
Never fear, it will fill up in the next hour or two, it’s just way too early for Italians to eat. Note they are playing Elton John’s greatest hits.
I saw this cartoon and wanted to share it as it really hits home for me. I love my Tesla but Elon has just got more and more toxic over the years.
Also, I realized I never put a photo of my adored new sneakers on here. This is them in the shop window when I first saw them. Love at first sight.
I finished my detective novel today. It was written before WW2, and at one point two of the cast were providing evidence for the night in question. They had both been listening to radio programs, but this is how they described it:

Rain is forecast for the entire next week in Florence. My conference, which was very poorly advertised, keeps emailing to push back the online registration deadline. I’m half hoping they cancel the whole thing so I can go home early.
An hour has passed and the restaurant has filled up nicely. Note this cute little doggy.
It’s totally unscientific, but I’ve seen more poodle type dogs in Bologna in 24 hours than in all the rest of the time I’ve been in Europe.
The music has moved on to Queen, and it’s time for me to head back to my accommodation.
