My hotel here in Paris was a good choice.
I know accommodation providers don’t like Booking.com but it’s a great way to find what you want, you know exactly the facilities you’re going to get and they will also protect you in the event of dispute.
The hotel is perfectly situated right in between the Gare du Nord and the Gare de L’Est in a street called rue des deux gares, appropriately enough. Very handy, although my train is leaving from Gare de Lyon this morning, so that’s less useful. Thank goodness for my trusty public transport app.
I’m currently in the breakfast room, it’s packed with people speaking all sorts of different languages. It’s great.
My weather app tells me it’s a relatively chilly 15 degrees outside, and this alert just came up.
The warning would probably be more useful if it gave a location. It’s unlikely to be Montpellier in any event: they’re expecting a high of 32 degrees today.
