I’m loving the current trend for maxi skirts and dresses.
It’s a terrific boon for those of us sporting ‘winter legs’. My lower limbs haven’t seen a razor in weeks, it’s honestly the Wild West down there.
I’ve been doing my bit for the local economy recently, propping up some of the overpriced high street clothes shops. Here are some garments that didn’t make the grade.
Lovely soft and warm merino but unfortunately white on me is just a magnet for tomato based foodstuffs. Visible undergarments are also not a plus for workwear. Gorgeous black merino with a sparkly thread woven through, unfortunately clingy in the wrong places and the flared skirt probably impractical on a bicycle. Note new haircut, more drastic than I asked for which is typical for my interactions with hair professionals but on the plus side, sets me up well for my upcoming northern hemisphere sabbatical which is likely to be hot (although hopefully not as hot as Egypt last year.)
