So, probably not sea lice according to the resort dive master. Apparently sea lice come in visible clouds of creatures that look like tiny snitches from quidditch.
He thought my infestation was more likely due to thimble jellyfish or their larvae. Thimble jellyfish sound like something that would be cute, cuddly, and harmless. Disappointing, but that’s nature I suppose.
On the plus side, I’m just back from the best ever snorkeling trip of my life (so far). It was like the other day only slightly better visibility, no turtles this time but I saw three sharks ( or possibly only two if I’d gone round in a circle and confused myself) and one stingray. Fabulous.
