Generally I’m a fan of predictive text.
it’s particularly useful on Duolingo because it will correct my misspelled foreign terms. A recurrent problem I have, though, is that when it comes up with a range of suggestions of what word it thinks I’m trying to write, somehow once I’ve seen the word I want and as my finger is descending down to click on it, it morphs into some new word but it’s too late for me to stop and I end up clicking on the new wrong word. I then have to delete delete delete back to the start of the word again, destroying all the gains the predictive text feature would have given me.

This is obviously irritating, but my main concern is what it says about me. Is it that my brain and/or reflexes are really really slow? Who knows? But with no evidence to the contrary, I think I’ll just decide that it means I am super intelligent. Why? Why not?
