My surgeon just gave a big sigh, not sure if that’s better or worse than swearing?
The trouble with brain surgery is that it takes you hours to get the patient carefully positioned and then get deep enough inside the skull to reach the bit of pathology you want to deal then, and by then your adrenaline/coffee combo is probably already wearing off and you’re starting to feel exhausted. In any case, it’s only 11:30 so I hope he perks up because we have lots more work ahead of us!
