The world is divided into two types of people today: those who saw yesterday’s aurora, and those who are currently filled with bitter bitter regrets.
Somewhat predictably, I fall into the second camp.
What is most galling is that I was actually up on the Kapiti coast, walking along the very same beach that this photo was taken only an hour or so later.

By the time the aurora was doing its thing, I was eating my dinner, reading a book by the fire. Sigh.
