Lots of press recently about middle aged people (women) all being deluded that they’re more gorgeous and youthful looking than their contemporaries.
When you look further down these articles, you find that this “overwhelming majority” they’re talking about is 59%. Presumably that means that 41% of people think they look older or the same age as others of the same vintage. So, an equally true headline could be “almost half of people over 50 think they look the same or older than their biological age”. But where’s the fun in that, when you can poke fun at vain old ladies who don’t realize how repellent and irrelevant they are?
