You may think that nothing interesting ever happens in our sleepy seaside retirement town, and you’d be right 99% of the time.
But this morning we have woken to something that shows it’s not all beer and skittles – or metamucil and bird watching – up here. Someone has dumped some old beds and mattresses beside the lagoon, in full view of the local community.
I can just imagine the outrage behind the twitching curtains, and the indignant phone calls to the town council. It will interesting to see how long before a truck appears to haul away the offending articles.
I laugh sometimes at the small lives of some of the busybodies who live here, but it’s true that it can be useful to have someone in your corner that can channel their inner Karen.
