Can I just take this opportunity to say how much I deplore this current trend for flat grey in car paint?
It looks awful, as if even the most expensive car has an unfinished paint job that never made it past the undercoat.
You can’t even dignify it with the term “silver” because it’s not metallic. It’s the exact same colour as the road and the sky on a dull, overcast day – how useful! Of course, I’m sure the car manufacturers are hand in hand with the paint companies, selling it up with names like “pewter”, “graphite”, or “storm cloud”, when really it’s the same colour as a mouse on a pile of gravel. Still, it makes my sexy red car stand out even more, I suppose.
