We booked a private guided tour of the Topkapi Palace,

Oof trying to play catch up after missing a day. If you thought that first post was a romp through the days activities in the style of “I did this and then I did that” you’d better hang onto your hats.

The Turkish drink mostly tea here, not the thick, sweet coffee they are famous for.

The arrivals process was fairly streamlined but it was still midnight by the time we were looking for a taxi.

Last thing on Edinburgh I promise.

Our plane has landed and we’re taxiing to the gate.

We’re back at Edinburgh airport, which is beginning to feel Iike a second home.

Lemon and Paeroa, the iconic Kiwi beverage, dates all the way back to 1907 – so it’s over a hundred years old.

Had some vague  thought of hiring bikes today but when we woke up to ten degrees and rain, we gave up on that idea.

Walked to the Royal Palace of Holyrood after breakfast, and did a tour of the Palace with an audio guide that was very good.
