Just clearing out my bag of all the French Film Festival tickets that I’ve accumulated over the last week.
I’ve seen seven films since opening night last Wednesday, and they’ve all been great. Not sure what it is about French movies that make them so entertaining? Anyway, I’ve been forced to squeeze them into a limited amount of time because I’m going away on holiday again. I may have forgotten to mention it, but I’m flying to Samoa for 12 days from tomorrow. Not sure what the wifi connectivity is over there so I may not be able to report as regularly as I’d like – as well as being at risk of losing my two+ year streak on Duolingo. My public health friends might feel I should be more concerned about the risk of dengue fever. One thing is for sure, it’s a great place to escape the icy grip of winter. We’ve had some very chilly days in Wellington over the last few weeks, and my weather app tells me I can expect highs of 27-29 degrees in Samoa during my stay. I expect I’ll be complaining of the heat this time tomorrow but it’s very hard to imagine.
