Just answered the phone too quickly before I realised that with an 0061 prefix it was probably a spam caller.
I was in theatre so I just wanted the ringing to stop, which was why I picked up so fast. To be fair, the poor man on the other end seemed totally taken by surprise that anyone would pick up so quickly. It must be lunch time over there in Sydney – he sounded like he’d just taken a bite of his sandwich. I think the relief was probably mutual when I hung up after only the briefest of conversations.
