We are heading off on a much needed, if not well deserved, holiday.
I’m writing this in the Air NZ lounge, waiting for our 6 am flight, which is the first leg of our journey to Japan. We’re going on a week long cruise around Japan on the QE2. Luxury!
Our taxi driver was a patient of my husbands. “He saved my life! Twice!!” He explained to me. A little bit of an exaggeration, I thought, once I’d heard the full story. However, I didn’t begrudge him the recognition. Until he got accosted by another patient just after check in. Honestly, it’s like traveling with a movie star. I can confidently state I’ve never been recognized by any patient, ever, and I must have looked after thousands over the years.
