I can give you an anecdote. Nic & I set out on our e-bikes the other day at a leisurely pace (we were going to be going some distance) & soon after leaving passed a rather elderly but well lycra’d-up couple on their racing bikes as they were ambling along & weaving about the road a bit. Not long after overtaking them the woman put on a spurt & overtook us, the hubby followed, a bit apologetic & said she hated being overtaken by e-bikes.
