I’m not a fan of the death penalty,
but I could make an exception for the architect who failed to put stairs next to the main lifts when our hospital was built a few years ago. Now the elevators are permanently clogged with people who only need to go one or two floors, because the alternative is walking several hundred metres in any direction to the nearest stairwell.
The other option is devising my own personal Hell for this particular person, which would involve spending an eternity waiting for a lift that never arrives, which is basically the fate the rest of us have been condemned to for the last ten years.
