So, the winner of the bird of the year competition this year is a very low profile candidate, but one that I actually voted for – the rock wren.

Just voted in the bird of the year competition 

Apologies for the long absence – I’ve been busy with a conference that I’ve been helping organise for around five years. A terrific success luckily!

Most impressed with a friend’s dyed eyebrows  at work last week, which led to a discussion amongst the hospital theatre staff present – all female in this case – on brow management.

Took the dogs to the beach the other day.

My husband is a technophile, and has had an Apple Watch for years, but I’ve been resistant to the idea.

It’s not that we object to you going on a boozy girls night out per se

I’m very happy with the local body election results in Wellington – everyone I voted for got in – but less impressed nationwide.

Got a jury summons in the mail the other day (my husband’s dog-proofing, postal protection set up is clearly working).
