Back to bed. Touch wood, I’m not feeling too bad so far.
If anything, I’m feeling a little better than I was this morning. The palpitations have stopped, for one thing, which has made my husband happy. If I had suffered a sudden cardiac death it could have been quite awkward for him. In contrast, he is still feeling pretty rough. I’ve just dug out an old thermometer from the medicine bag in the bathroom cabinet – I’ve noticed it there plenty of times but strangely enough, haven’t ever used it before. Simon’s temperature is 38.4, which is bad but still better than the 39.6 he had after his last booster.
It’s been a quiet day. Browsing through online shopping, mostly rugs to replace the ones Goofy has chewed. I made myself a salad to make up for the rubbish I ate earlier in the day, but then spoiled it by having an ice cream. I figured I’d better enjoy it before I lose my sense of taste and smell. A slow brief walk in the rain to stop the dogs creating havoc, some desultory TV watching, a leisurely bath, and back to bed. I can hardly dare to believe that I won’t get any sicker than this. Let’s see what the night brings.
