As an aside, we’re told Kim had to lose seven kilos in three weeks before this week’s Met Gala, to fit into the costume of her choice. This was the dress Marilyn Monroe made famous by singing ‘Happy Birthday Mr President!’ to JFK in, three months before her death.
I remember the supermodel Cindy Crawford being interviewed in the nineties about changing fashion sensibilities. “I think Marilyn Monroe was gorgeous” she said “but I’d kill myself if my ass was that big.” Times change, huh?
