In order to stave off the depredations of increasing age, we have invested in a home exercise machine.
My husband has used it most days since we bought it for his birthday in February. Today I tried it out for the second time. I’m a serious nonbeliever in gyms and exercise equipment in general, but I must say I’m impressed with this one. It’s got a screen, and it plays interactive videos of various instructors taking you through workouts at lots of exotic locations. Last week I did a walk around Victoria Falls in Africa, and today I did a beach walk in St Lucia in the Caribbean.
My instructor today was an American woman called Stacie.
I’m guessing the majority of us sweating away at home didn’t have Stacie’s full make up, false eyelashes and all over tan, let alone her stamina. But she was very enthusiastic and encouraging, and I must say the immersive experience really made the entire session much more appealing.
The trouble is, how do I get the dogs involved?
