Had my first RAT test yesterday.
Luckily it was negative. I did it because I had symptoms, and I was working an extra shift at the hospital last night.
The instructions are quite complicated, there were 17 steps in the accompanying package insert. Sticking the swab up your nose and twizzling it around brings tears to your eyes, too, although it’s not as bad as the PCR one where you feel like your brain stem is being biopsied. I guess we’re all going to get used to having this done over the coming weeks – if we’re “lucky” enough to have access to them, I suppose.
