Heard a cicada chirping (singing? buzzing?) the other day as I was walking beside the Waikanae River.
I can’t remember ever hearing one so early in the season, they are far more noticeable late summer. Is this a sign of a long hot summer ahead of us? I hope so!
Maybe it’s a bit crass to wish for this when the world’s on fire, but life is short and we have to enjoy it while we can. Besides, you can’t pin climate change on me – I drive a Tesla.
