Trying times

Out of the goodness of my heart I’ve been making a reprise of my scheduling role in our department to enable a colleague to leave the country to visit elderly relatives.
It’s only a temporary secondment, thank goodness, and comes on top of my regular role of newsletter editor. (Plus, of course, gassing people on my clinical days. ) After a month of this, my honest question is this: is the Venn diagram of people who make my life a misery as a scheduler – whiny, self entitled arseholes – and those who complain most loudly about the newsletter and my editorials in particular, actually a circle? Or are my enemies actually rather a heterogeneous lot? Sadly I suspect I’ll never know, and will have to die wondering. Hey ho.

ps. If you think this is indiscreet, know that I was considering saying it in my editorial.
