I’ve been talking smack about a colleague the past few days, and this morning my phone rang and their name was on caller ID.

Out walking this afternoon, with the dogs on leads and mask at the ready, I passed a young family of a father and his two boys at a safe distance of two metres plus.

Whenever I catch a whiff of flowers – daphne is in season at the moment – while out walking or riding my bike, it gives me a great sense of well-being.

The anaesthetic department has had a regular daily 5 pm briefing on Zoom since the start of this latest COVID lockdown.
