Gosh our trip to Raro was very well timed!
First we hear of a couple of travelers from Wellington who got manhandled off the plane after this week’s COVID scare in the capital (does “Capital” get a capital?). (You can just imagine the scene: “Nooooo! I need a holiday! I want some suuuuuun!” Poor bastards. )
And then the flight yesterday that couldn’t land in Rarotonga due to strong winds. So, they flew all the way there, got within metres of landing, and then gave up and flew all the way back home to Auckland again. How gutting would that be?
We’ve had what seems like constant rain since we got back, but at least we have some lovely warm sunny memories to look back on…
