My phone screen has become strangely blurry in recent times, especially in poor lighting.
Since it improves with the old reading glasses I dug out of a side drawer, I’m facing the sad realization that this is the beginning of presbyopia. i.e. my crusty old ocular lenses are no longer elastic enough to focus light from close up objects onto my retina. Just now I almost texted someone this:

Which would have sent the entirely wrong message. Sigh. Isn’t aging a terrible thing? Better than the only realistic alternative, though, I guess. I’m sure I’ve said that before, but it’s still true.
