End of call

I didn’t have to go back into  hospital at all over night – not even a phone call.

Sunday on call

Had a good nights sleep, first phone call wasn’t until almost 8 in the morning.

Saturday on call

A lovely sunny day in the capital, and day 2 of the cricket test which at the start of the day was leaning in our favour, and by the end of the day, very much so.

Life changing

Anaesthetised for a gender affirmation surgery list today.

Blinded by the light

Woken up early every morning this week by the sun blasting through our imperfect curtains right into my eyes.

How lovely are thy branches

Overheard the receptionists gossiping at the posh Private Hospital, in the waiting room which has recently been decorated for the festive season:

Ouch

A large part of my job is opening glass ampoules to get at the drugs inside.

Phenomenal

This halo around the sun is made from refraction through (and also reflection from) ice crystals high up in the atmosphere.
