Had a good nights sleep, first phone call wasn’t until almost 8 in the morning. No time for coffee, a quick shower and rolled on in. I figured maybe a couple of hours work and then I’d probably make it to the start of the cricket at 11. I wore my cricketing gear and my new sunblock moisturizer so I’d be all ready to go. But after that first case (which I honestly can remember absolutely zero about), there was another patient who was also too sick for the juniors to do – and then another – and before I knew it, it was 10 pm and I was going home again. Lots of super interesting cases, never horribly busy, and nothing went terribly wrong, so I’m quite happy about how the day went really. Plus, everyone I worked with was nice, and there was nothing exciting happening in the cricket, so all good. If I don’t get called back in again tonight I’ll have nothing to complain about.
