A large part of my job is opening glass ampoules to get at the drugs inside.
All well and good most of the time but sometimes you can get bits of glass in your fingers, and it seems like the thinner the sliver, the more it hurts.
I got one yesterday and it’s so tiny that I can’t even see it, but whenever I type, or even just brush something gently over my finger tip, it’s exquisitely painful. Am I like the princess and the pea? In any case, you’d think I would have figured out to put on gloves for this sort of dangerous activity before now – but clearly I haven’t.
