The Lithuanian word of the day in theatre today is “Pietums”, which after 5 minutes of random guessing and some broad hints, the circulating nurse finally was the first to figure out meant “lunch”.
We’ve all decided this is the best word of the day of the year, and possibly ever. The first related neologism we’ve come up with came from the anaesthetic tech: “pre-pietums” which we’ve decided means morning tea.
Obviously all this going on whilst maintaining a laser like focus on our patient and her operation.
