My husband does all the grocery shopping for the household.
He’s fast and efficient but lacks an eye for detail. Usually this doesn’t matter much: the wrong brand of this; the wrong flavour of that; “they didn’t have any” – but sometimes, the ramifications are more serious.
The whole family were dismayed to find some decaf nespresso pods hidden amongst the rest this morning. My daughter was almost in tears “I feel lied to!” There’s a life lesson there somewhere, but I’m not sure what it is. Maybe: if you want something done right, do it yourself – and if not, quit whining.
To be fair, it’s really not that obvious on the packaging.
