Another town whose glory days are far behind it.

The shop with the best range of jig saw puzzles I have yet come across in all of NZ is this little arts and crafts shop on the right, across from the boat shed cafe in Rawene.

An early start this morning to get to Hokere before 9 am.

Our landlady’s portly chihuahua is my spirit animal.

Checked out of our lovely accommodation in Omapere and drove back up the Hokianga Harbour to Rawene, where we are staying the next two nights.

My daughter has been berating me for not mentioning her or her Canadian boyfriend once on my blog in the last year.

I have got into the habit of putting on my nightcream before going out for dinner.

Things have come to a head with the dogs.

Another gorgeous day.
