Just thought it would be useful to print the follow up straight after.

Subject: explanatory email – Take me to the April Sun
Hi All,
A bit late with this as it’s been a busy day. Currently doing the evening session. I have seen every patient in PACU at least twice.
Debuted my new nose today. The tape came off last night. I’m not sure what new fangled biomechanically engineered structure they’ve put in there to keep it from collapsing a la Michael Jackson – but it’s magical. My new wide bore nasal passages are delivering huge amounts of air into my respiratory system. The refreshed sense of smell is intense. Mostly this is fabulous but it can be disconcerting – for example when they’re serving fish in the hospital cafe. My brain is also struggling to cope with all the extra oxygen – this may explain why I signed up for Spanish classes as a spur of the moment decision earlier this week. I’m hoping this will prove useful when I head off to Cuba with friends next year anyway.
Monday
It’s National Anaesthesia Day! (well, morning anyway) Nick and Matt are going to be in the atrium trying to convince everyone to have their surgeries done under regional. Although I must say I had a TIVA and it was awesome.
Hasta Luego,
Kirsty.
