A pleasant day

The neurosurgeons are lucky enough to have a very senior Australian trainee working with them at the moment. Luckily he’s better at brain surgery than making cheesecake. Having got to know him over the past few months they’re now happy to leave him doing the less complicated stuff with minimal supervision – putting skull flaps back on, simple spines, that sort of thing. It means that on Tuesday instead of working with the rather austere intellectual polyglot who doesn’t like music, we got to have a more fun day with sick beats and unrestrained banter between the junior doctors. While the cat’s away…(NB never fear – no safety being compromised here at all. He knows to call for help if the going got tough, as do we. Don’t be such a party pooper.)
