My cycling, vegan friend is fond of a glass of wine or two of an evening. It’s lucky she’s not teetotal: who could put up with that much hatred? Actually she’s also a physician, so if we had community transmission of COVID she’d be out there advising us all to wear masks, so it’s lucky she doesn’t live in The Land of The Free. And as for guns and fast food, let’s not even go there…
