Sniff

My dogs come up and sniff me excitedly whenever I get dressed, to see if I’m going to be taking them for a walk or not. I’m not sure how my ‘going for a walk’ clothes differ in smell from my ‘going to work’ clothes – I hate to think – but those canine snoots are pretty much on the money most of the time. You can tell how disappointed they are when they know I’ll soon be leaving the house without them. You can almost hear the derisive “lame!” under their breath as they trail disconsolately off to poo on the dining room carpet in silent protest.
